Takumi Korean BBQ opens on Lowes Drive with dining options and robot named Grace

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Takumi Korean BBQ is Clarksville’s newest hands-on-all-you-can-eat dining experience that merges traditional Asian hot pot and Korean BBQ.

Takumi, meaning artisan in Japanese, can be found at 2111 Lowes Drive, located at the old Hananoki Japanese steakhouse across from Kroger.

Traditional Asian hot pot is a communal experience where guests are given a pot of broth in which they can add a variety of food items like meats, veggies, noodles, seafood options and more.

Similar to hibachi where food is cooked in front of you, the tables have individual burners for the slow cook pots for guests to watch their food simmer in front of them. Guests are meant to share their offerings with everyone at the table, allowing for a fun diverse eating experience.

The restaurant features grill items along with sushi, bubble or boba tea, and American side favorites like french fries or fresh fruit.

Seafood items include fresh crab, fresh lobster and scallop offerings. Healthier options are available as well including vegetable-based items and vegetarian broth.

Currently, Takumi is waiting on the approval of their liquor license where they will soon offer mixed drinks and beer.

In the future, Takumi will be hosting party settings along with karaoke events.

Takumi is open seven days a week for dine-in only. The hours of operation are Sunday through Thursday from noon to 10 p.m. Meanwhile, they are open from noon to 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

General Manager John Bell says customers can expect a casual but refined dining atmosphere. “It’s a lively experience,” Bell said.

Although they just opened their doors two weeks ago, Bell says they have had a great response from customers. “People love the service, the great food and the atmosphere. Our reviews have been positive so far,” Bell said. “They also love the robot named Grace, who serves food to the table.”
